Supporting You to Move with Confidence
Supporting You to Move with Confidence
Exercise designed for your body, your symptoms and your goals.
Living with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), dysautonomia or hypermobility can make exercise challenging.
From dizziness and fatigue to joint instability, pain and exercise intolerance, traditional exercise classes don't always accommodate the unique needs of people living with these conditions.
At My Community Allied Health, we believe exercise should be accessible, supportive and tailored to you.Exercise designed for your body, your symptoms and your goals.

What to Expect From our Classes?
Our 45-minute physiotherapist-led exercise classes focus on developing strength, stability, body awareness and exercise tolerance.
We understand that upright exercise can be difficult for people experiencing orthostatic intolerance. That's why our classes initially focus on mat-based exercises, with gradual progression according to individual tolerance.

Why Is Exercise Important for POTS & Hypermobility?
When appropriately prescribed, exercise can play an important role in managing POTS and hypermobility.
Depending on your individual presentation, a tailored exercise program may help to:
Improve muscular strength and endurance
Develop joint stability and proprioception
Support cardiovascular conditioning
Improve confidence with movement
Build tolerance for everyday activities
Support functional capacity and independence
We recognise that exercise isn't a cure for POTS or hypermobility, and that not everyone responds to exercise in the same way.
Our approach is focused on finding a safe, sustainable and meaningful way to incorporate movement into your life.
-
You Don't Need to know where to start..
You don't need to have an established exercise routine.
You don't need to complete every exercise.
And you don't need to push through symptoms to make progress.
Our classes are designed to meet you where you are.
Some days that might mean completing a full modified session. Other days it might mean reducing the intensity, taking additional breaks or focusing on a smaller number of movements.
