Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder & Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Support

Living with hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder can feel overwhelming — especially when symptoms are complex, unpredictable or not well understood.

At My Community Physio, we provide supportive, individualised physiotherapy for people with EDS, HSD and related conditions. Our approach is gentle, flexible and focused on helping you understand your body, build confidence with movement and improve your day-to-day function.

Our approach

We know that “just exercise more” is not always helpful advice.

Our physiotherapy support is tailored to your baseline, symptoms and goals. We focus on building strength and stability gradually, while respecting pain, fatigue, autonomic symptoms and flare patterns.

Sessions may include education, pacing strategies, joint protection, strengthening, balance work, movement confidence, hydrotherapy or home-based exercise planning.

We can support with:

  • Joint instability and subluxations

  • Pain and flare-ups

  • Fatigue and reduced activity tolerance

  • POTS and dysautonomia symptoms

  • Strength, balance and coordination

  • Deconditioning after periods of illness or rest

  • Safe exercise planning

  • Pacing and energy management

  • Functional goals for home, work, study or daily life
